What is being done to the Greenbriar Bridge?
The current bridge will be demolished and replaced with a higher, longer, and wider bridge. This will increase the capacity of the channel, allowing for more flood waters to flow throughout Brays Bayou. The new bridge will also include a through lane in each direction, a left turn lane, a U-turn lane, and an expanded 10-foot sidewalk. Construction began mid-summer of 2019 and is scheduled to last approximately one year.
